Able-bodied Riding and Horsemanship

We offer a variety of riding courses including: private, semi-private, and group lessons that cover all fundamentals of riding. Our courses are tailored to your needs and interests, for example, our instructors are qualified to teach students equitation, hunt seat, jumping, cross country, and dressage. Lessons are open to all ages, skill levels, and abilities. All of our instructors are ARIA (American Riding Instructors Association) Certified. We give weekday, evening, and weekend sessions to accommodate your schedule.

Located in the scenic Catoctin Mountains, our facility features a brand new 80′ x 160′ indoor riding arena which allows lessons rain or shine. We also have a lighted outdoor arena, stadium, jump course, and a cross-country course.

Our lesson fees fund our therapeutic programs and our equine sanctuary and rescue. Please see our Individualized Programs for Disabilities and/or our Equine Sanctuary and Rescue for more information on how your lesson fees benefit our programs.

Lesson Fees

  • Private Sessions
    • 45 minutes, $45.00, one student.
  • Semi-Private Sessions
    • 1 hour $35.00 (per student), 2 to 3 students.
  • Group
    • 1 hour $25.00 (per student), 4 to 6 students.
  • Kinder Ride 30 minutes $35.00 (per student)**FREE INTRODUCTORY LESSON DOES NOT APPLY
    • Instructor will lead the class and a side walker will handle the horse and a parent will participate with their child from the ground.
    • Children ages 2 to 6 and must be accompanied by a parent.
    • Small groups are formed as interest is expressed

All students start in Private Sessions for safety reasons. We use well-trained and well behaved school horses, or students may bring their own.
